Buffalo Bandits transition player Frank Brown is hosting an online fundraiser and toy drive to support families in need during the holidays.
Donations to the “First Annual Cousin Brownie Holiday Giveback” are being accepted now until Dec. 18, with proceeds benefitting Seneca families from the Allegany and Cattaraugus Territories. The fundraiser is run in partnership with Seneca Nation Child and Family Services.
Donations can be made via Venmo (@CousinBrownie) or PayPal. Donors can also choose items from an Amazon wish list. Every $10 donated will earn one entry into a raffle the includes NLL autographed gear, apparel, and jerseys. All donations will receive a Cousin Brownie Christmas Card.
“As the great Clark Griswold said, ‘this isn’t charity, it’s family,’” Brown writes on his event page. “Cousin Brownie was inspired by that same sentiment – the love of family and what it means within our communities. The true meaning of the Christmas spirit! In Seneca we say O’tgönönyö:’, which can loosely translate to, “I thank you, I give my respect/love”.
