The Buffalo Bandits will look to start a new win streak tonight when they head to SoCal to take on the San Diego Seals.
Faceoff is scheduled to commence at 10 p.m. on ESPN+ and ESPNews. The game can also be heard over at 1520 AM.
Buffalo’s six-game run was snapped last week with a home loss to Colorado. Despite the loss, the Bandits were still able to clinch a spot in the NLL Playoffs for the third-straight season.
The Seals have won four in a row and are coming off a 17-9 road win against Panther City.
Saturday’s matchup between the Bandits and the Seals will be a clash of juggernauts, with both teams entering the bout as the No. 1 seed of their respective conferences. Buffalo holds a 10-3 record while San Diego is now 10-2.
Buffalo is 2-0 all-time against the Seals.
Bandits coach John Tavares acknowledged the potential that San Diego’s offense possesses.
“San Diego is definitely a championship-caliber team,” Tavares said. “They have one of the, if not the best, offenses so we’re in for a battle in San Diego.”
Wesley Berg (25+50), Curtis Dickinson (35+38), and Dane Dobbie (33+36) lead the Seals’ offensive arsenal this season. Berg posted 10 points in last night’s win over Panther City.
San Diego netminders Frank Scigliano and Christopher Origlieri have split duties in goal this season, with Scigliano posting an undefeated 6-0 record, and Origlieri holding a 4-2 record.
The Bandits will be primed with Dhane Smith (27+71), Josh Byrne (29+37), and Kyle Buchanan (15+32). Matt Vinc is tied for the league-lead in wins (10) and ranks second in saves (543).
