DAVID A. MOORE

Born in Boston, MA and raised in Detroit, MI, David moved to Buffalo shortly after graduating from Yale University in 1998. In addition to being the Bandits' piper since 2005, he is the former pipe sergeant of the Erie County Sheriff Department Pipe Corp. and played bagpipes, uilleann pipes, button box, concertina, hurdy gurdy, accordion and sang in the Irish rock band Jackdaw (named Buffalo's best by Artvoice from 2002 - '07, and by the Buffalo Music Awards in 2003, '04 and 2006 - '08). He has also been named as Buffalo's best instrumentalist by Artvoice (2006 - '08), the Buffalo Music Awards (2006 - '08), Buffalo Spree (2007), and the Western New York Music Awards (2003).
During the rest of the week, David works as an independent graphic designer and illustrator. His work has won national and international design awards from Communication Arts, Print, The Advertising Club of Buffalo, and The Buffalo News.
