Thompson Defensive Player of the Week

The National Lacrosse League today announced that Buffalo Bandits goaltender Mike Thompson has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.

This is the third week in a row that a Bandits goaltender has been named Defensive Player of the Week. Thompson made 58 saves in Buffalo's 10-9 victory over the Minnesota Swarm last week. The 58 saves were two short of the Bandits franchise record set last season by Daniel Sams. The effort has placed Thompson third in the league with an .818 save percentage and eighth in the NLL with a 10.00 GAA. Fellow Bandits goaltender Ken Montour leads the league in both categories with an .879 save percentage a 6.00 GAA.

Buffalo's next home game is Saturday, February 14 against the Toronto Rock at HSBC Arena.
