Steenhuis Earns All-Star MVP

Mark Steenhuis was named MVP of the 2009 NLL All-Star Game with a 13-point performance. Netting seven goals and six assists, Steenhuis helped lead the East to a 27-21 win over the West on Saturday night in Denver.

His sixth-consecutive all-star appearance, Steenhuis became the first player in NLL history to be named MVP three times in his career. He previously earned the award in 2004 and 2007.

Steenhuis also leads the League for most career all-star game goals with 23 scores. He currently leads the NLL this season in goals (35), assists (35) and points (70).

Ken Montour stopped 23 shots through two quarters. John Tavares tallied four assists on the night while Roger Vysed scored a goal and an assist. Chris White also scored a goal.
