The Buffalo Bandits have teamed up with renowned local artist Ron Bailey to offer the best fans in lacrosse a truly rare and unique piece of Bandits history. Starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, a limited number of prints of Bailey’s watercolor portrait “ORANGE AND BLACK” will go on sale at the Sabres Store at First Niagara Center.

The portrait features eight Bandits greats: John Tavares, Darris Kilgour, Rich Kilgour, Billy Dee Smith, Tracey Kelusky, Mike Thompson, Chris White, and Mark Steenhuis.

Only 2,000 of these limited edition lithographs were produced, with 1,000 of them individually numbered and hand signed by all eight players and the artist. Another 100 prints, deemed to be “Special Proofs,” are individually numbered one through 100, uniquely hand signed, and have a special orange and purple border.

The cost for these limited edition lithographs are as follows:

  • Unsigned Lithographs- $24.99
  • Signed Lithographs- $49.99
  • Special Proofs- $79.99

Bailey, a Buffalo, NY native, has recently been named an official artist of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has worked with famous athletes such as the great Jim Brown, Ryan Miller, Bernie Parent, Gerry Cheevers, and Fred Jackson, as well as musicians KISS, Jerry Lee Lewis, Slash (from Guns N’ Roses), and Godsmack.

Bandits season ticket holders have received an email with instructions on how to purchase these prints before they go on sale to the public on March 31. The Sabres Store is located inside First Niagara Center. Regular store hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in addition to all Sabres and Bandits home games.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these lithographs will go towards enhancing the quality of life in the Western New York region by assisting worthwhile organizations that make this region a better place to live and work.
