Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced the team’s 23-man roster for the 2011 National Lacrosse League season.

The Bandits return 17 players from their 2010 squad including veterans John Tavares and Mark Steenhuis. There will be six new faces on the roster: forwards Tracey Kelusky, Brenden Thenhaus and Chad Culp, defensemen Scott Self and rookie Travis Irving, and faceoff specialist and transition player Jay Thorimbert. 

This will be the second tour of duty with the Bandits for Thenhaus, Self and Thorimbert.

The Bandits will open the 2011 season on the road against the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday, January 8 at 9:30 p.m.  Buffalo’s home opener will be Saturday, January 22 at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Toronto Rock.
