PRIOLO - THE SOOKE POTHOLES AND A TOUR OF THE VAN

6/22/2017 9:32:00 AM / Steve Priolo

Instead of moving into an apartment while he plays in a summer league in Victoria, British Columbia, Bandits defenseman Steve Priolo decided to make a van his temporary residence and hit the road. Each week, he's blogging about his experiences for Bandits.com.

Part One | Part Two | Part Three

For most of the summer I will be spending my time in the Victoria area. There is a hike out in Sooke called the Sooke Potholes.

It follows a river upstream as the water meanders through the rock, leaving behind what essentially look like potholes.

That water usually stays pretty cold but on a nice day it's great to jump in for a swim. I must say there are places that can be very dangerous at the potholes and people get injured or killed there.

With a cautious step and awareness of the power the water has, I tend to spend many days here.

Sooke is a  pretty quiet part of the island so I'm going to take this opportunity to show everyone a tour of the van, and my feelings on what it has been like so far.
