The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed goaltender Hunyahdengowah (Gowah) Abrams, transition player Tyler Albrecht and defenseman Mike McNamara to one-year contracts, pending league approval.
Abrams (6’4”, 260 lbs., 4/4/1994) played in 23 games with the Native Sons of the Can-Am Lacrosse League, winning 22 games, and had a 7.14 goals-against average. The Basom, New York native also won the silver medal for the Iroquois Nationals at the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Onondaga.
Albrecht (6’1”, 185 lbs., 2/13/1993) spent the 2017 season with the New York Lizards of the MLL, playing four games and scoring one goal. The Oakville, Ontario native spent his collegiate career with the Loyola Greyhounds, playing 57 games and accumulating 67 points (53+14).
McNamara (6’2”, 230 lbs., 1/7/1990) returns to the Bandits after previously playing 13 games with Buffalo from 2012 to 2013. The Hamilton, Ontario native appeared in 43 games over six seasons in the NLL with 13 points (1+12) and 114 loose balls.
